Eat Ice Cream to Reduce Wrinkles

by Laura Kronen on November 18, 2010

images-4Would you eat ice cream if it could make you look younger? No need to answer the question, really.  Most of us would have the same response.  And guess what?  It’s not as hypothetical of a question as you might think.

Ice Cream giant Ben & Jerry’s is working on an ice cream with anti-aging antioxidants. Researchers at Ampere Life Science and Unilever are also working on the project, and say that an anti-aging ice cream could be hitting grocery shelves by 2015.  Let’s hope its calorie free.  Because I am going to be chowing down for sure.  Let’s also hope they are working on some anti-aging chocolate syrup and whipped cream too!

If you truly want to fend off the aging process, don’t wait around for anti-aging ice cream. While Ben & Jerry’s Triple Caramel Chunk may keep you young at heart and make your belly happy, it won’t protect your heart from growing old. Instead eat truly healthy foods that have a proven impact on health and beauty like berries- they are rich in antioxidants and are a natural anti-aging food.  Garlic can help fight cancer; the fat in avocados reduces bad cholesterol; ginger boosts the circulatory system and nuts help in digestion. Bottom line is, stick to the produce section instead of the freezer aisle for now.
