The Top 10 Ways to Look Younger

by Laura Kronen on September 23, 2011

Let’s face it, everyone wants to look younger and there are some easy ways you can subtract years from your “real” age.  These simple tricks will shave years off of your appearance!

1.  Take your vitamins.  Flax seed oil, Fish Oil Supplements and CO-Q10 makes our skin plumper, our brains sharper and neutralizes harmful free radicals (respectively) in the body.  While you are at it, drink tons of water to wash them down.

2.  Get yourself a good bra.  The right one will give you confidence and shape and dare I say, some sex appeal.  Remember your bra size changes as you age.

3.  Edit your closet.  Get rid of all the mom jeans, ill fitting tops and the maternity clothing that you think might be a cute top even when you aren’t pregnant.  It won’t.  It will just make you look matronly.  Realize that some of the things you wore years ago and that looked cute at 28 will just make you look frumpy at 43.

4.  Invest in some nude pumps.  They make legs look longer and they match with most everything.  Skip ankle straps, they rarely if ever flatter a leg.

5.  Dress for your body, not your age.  Yes, I said it.  If you have great legs, show ’em off.  Good cleavage, flaunt it.  Show off what you got, while you still got it going on!

6.  Regardless of what your legs look like, keep those hems above the knee.  Knee length and lower just looks matronly.

7.  Create an ageless personal style with classic silhouettes and structured clothing.  The less fit you are, the more structured your clothing should be.  Many people think the opposite – that they should cover up in baggy shapeless frocks.  Not true…you need to embrace your shape.

8.  Dont over-tweeze your brows or over-botox your face.  The idea is to look younger, not look like a freak.  If you choose to go the professional help route, start off  s l o w l y.

9.  Minimize concealer and foundation.  It would seem that now that you have more to hide, you should be breaking out the big guns, but foundation settles in fine lines and wrinkles and makes you look older (gasp!)

10.  Whiten your teeth.  Nothing says youth like a bright white gleaming smile.
