Keep the Glow this Fall with Bronzers

bronzers for fall

As we sit and watch the summer come to an unwelcomed close, we can’t help but feel a pang at the loss of our natural tan that we’ve developed throughout the past few months (with the aid of SPF, I hope). Don’t let the thought of losing your tan ruin your end-of-summer bliss, because you can utilize your makeup to keep your skin glowing right through fall! While the sun’s bronzing rays may leave us, our sparkling highlighters and bronzers never will.

There are some very important aspects when it comes to achieving a flattering faux-tan—keep in mind that you want to enhance your natural glow, not look like a cast member from the Jersey Shore. When it comes to picking a bronzer, it is all about personal preference; try different brands and see which one you like!

Keep in mind: you do not want to pick the darkest shade of bronzer because you want to look incredibly tan, only go a slight bit darker than your skin tone. Something else to keep in mind is whether or not you want your bronzer to have shimmer. Without shimmer, you will just add color to your face; with shimmer, you will add light-reflecting pigments that will add color and an effortless glow to your face.

Here are some of Gloss and Glam’s (a new favorite blogging friend of Be You Only Better’s) favorite bronzing powders:

  1. Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder, $36
  2. Lancome Star Bronzer Natural Glow Bronzing Powder, $35
  3. MAC Bronzing Powder, $24
  4. Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Moisturizing Bronzing Powder, $50
  5. Rimmel London Natural Bronzer, $5.49
